Yeouido Spring Flower Festival....

The Yeouido Spring Flower Festival is held every year in April, when the cherry blossoms burst into bloom on Yeouido’s streets. When the 1400-plus cherry trees are in spectacular full bloom, Yunjungno Avenue, located behind the National Assembly, becomes a cherry-blossom tunnel.
Various events are held near the 5.7 km avenue to make the tourist experience more memorable. The cherry blossom avenue is brightly illuminated from 6:30 p.m. every evening, allowing friends, families and lovers to enjoy the picturesque avenue late into the night.

Event Programs: Various means of transportation will take you to Yunjungno Road, Yeouido. In addition, visitors can enjoy a variety of spring flowers such as forsythias and azalea, and it attracts many tourists every year.
Seoul’s mounted police will parade on horseback along the blossom-laden avenue, sure to be a thrilling sight for tourists. Rock festivals, fascinating magic shows, pungmullori (traditional Korean percussion music that combines ritual, dance, theatre, and acrobatics), and inline skate stunts can also be seen along the 5.7 km cherry blossom avenue. Spectacular fireworks will light up the Han River on the last day of the festival to signal its closure. Street vendors will be set up during the festival period, so why not try some typical Korean street foods?

Festival Highlights: The Yeouido Spring Flower Festival is even more beautiful at night. It is best to go to the festival later in the afternoon and stay through the evening, as it may be very hot around noontime.
Many people bring their cameras to take memorable pictures of the night views, with the white cherry blossoms aglow in the streetlights. Vehicles are prohibited on Yunjungno during the festival period, and there is traffic congestion around nearby areas, so the subway is the most convenient transportation to the festival.
