AREX (Airport Railroad Express)

If you're looking to get into Seoul quickly you can take the Airport Railroad Express Train (AREX). It takes 43 minutes from Incheon airport to Seoul station or Seoul station to Incheon airport. This is part of the airport railroad, but does not make any other stops.(There is also an all stop train. its cheaper, but takes longer and has no assigned seating) The express train goes straight from Incheon airport to Seoul station. You can also take it from Seoul station to Incheon airport.

I booked my ticket through Klook.com for a discounted price of 6,100 won.The regular price is 9000 won for an adult ticket and 7000 won for a child.

Finding the airport railroad is pretty easy. There are signs in the airport that will lead you in the right direction.

You can purchase your ticket from the ticket machine. If you booked through a company you will redeem the voucher. It was quick and easy for me. I used it twice during my 2 week stay in Korea.

When you redeem your voucher you will insert a 500 won coin as a deposit. You will get a card to use as your ticket and a receipt will print out with your seat assignment. You will then use your card to go through the turnstiles and down to the track.

After your journey is over you exit the turnstiles and find a 'ticket refund' machine. Insert your ticket and you will receive your 500 won deposit back.

I would definitely recommend using AREX if you want a better experience than using the regular airport railroad.

Music Video: Super Junior "Lo Siento" (featuring Leslie Grace)

I really like this new song by Super Junior. I like how they have incorporated Spanish, English and Korean.

This is a small museum that you can easily see in less than 30 minutes. You can't take pictures, but they do give you a booklet that has pictures of every bag in the collection. There are 2 floors. The first floor (floor 3) is modern day handbags. The 2nd floor (floor 4) is historical handbags dating back to the 1500's.

There were a few interesting things to see like how purses evolved over time. I think the historical handbags were the most interesting to me. I just went because it was one of the things I could see with the Discover Seoul Pass.

Overall I don't think its worth the money unless you are really interested in handbags. There isn't that much to see.

You can view the whole collection online on the website.

Korean Street Food: 오뎅

오뎅 is also known as fish cake. You can find these in carts all over Korea. They are usually very cheap. You usually get one for 500 won (about 50 cents) or 1000 won for 2 (about 1 dollar)

It is a processed seafood product made of ground white fish and other ingredients such as potato starch, sugar and vegetable

Korean Street Food: 호떡

호떡 is a type of pancake that can have a variety of fillings. Usually there is brown sugar, honey, chopped nuts and cinnamon. I have also had some that were filled with chocolate and vegetables.

These usually cost about 1000 won (about 1 dollar)

호떡 is usually eaten in the winter season. They usually fold it and put it in a cup.
