Rubber Duck Project-Seoul, South Korea
The Rubber Duck Project was started in 2007 by a Dutch artist named Florentijn Hofman. The project started as a tour named "Spreading Joy Around the World". He wanted people to remember their childhood. He designed giant rubber ducks of various sizes and they have been displayed in cities around the world.
The dimensions of the duck in Seoul are 16.5×19.8×16.5 metres or 54×65×54 feet.
The Rubber Duck Project was brought to Seoul from October 14, 2014 to November 2014 to celebrate the opening of the new Lotte World Mall. The duck is in Seokchon Lake near Jamsil station.
I visited the Rubber Duck Project on November 8, 2014. There were a lot of people there taking pictures and selfies.
